Purpose of the Position

Njilo Consulting and Logistics is looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Pricing Officer with proven experience in bids and tenders to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Business Development Department by interpreting tender requirements and specifications, and developing competitive pricing strategies that align with client requirements and business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

• National Diploma or Degree in Finance, Logistics, Fleet Management, Cost and Management Accounting.
• Intermediate to advance excel training certificate.
• Valid Driver’s license – Code 10.
• Minimum 3 year experience in pricing.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop competitive and profitable pricing models aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
• Prepare and submit accurate bid pricing to the Bids/Tenders team within required deadlines.
• Conduct detailed cost breakdowns, pricing analysis and margin assessments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing and industry dynamics to inform pricing strategies.
• Provide technical and commercial pricing support throughout the bid preparation and submission process.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement and other relevant departments to develop competitive bids.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date bid pricing archive, including pricing templates, calculations and supporting documentation.
• Develop and implement measurement tools and reporting mechanisms to identify changing market trends and pricing opportunities.
• Clarify tender scopes and requirements, negotiate pricing where required, and effectively manage client expectations.
• Ensure all bids are compliant with tender requirements, while identifying and highlighting contractual, commercial and pricing risks.
• Identify and recommend tools, systems and process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time of pricing and tender submissions.

• Knowledge of Fleet Management Lease (FML), Yellow Plant, Materials Handling and Waste Management.
