JOB TITLE : Chief Financial Officer
LOCATION : Johannesburg
DURATION : 36 Months- Fixed Term Contract
Purpose of the Position
To be responsible for the strategic financial management at Njilo Consulting and Logistics. Overseeing all financial operations, developing financial strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. Plays a critical role in driving the company’s financial performance and sustainability while managing risks and optimizing resources.
Minimum Requirements
• Honours Degree: Finance, Accounting or related field
• CA(SA)/CIMA (Added Advantage)
• 10 years’ experience in progressive financial management experience
• 3 years’ experience in senior management role
• Project Management Exposure
• Vehicle Leasing and Fleet Management Industry Exposure
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and risk management practices.

A. MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP

B. OPERATIONS – FINANCE
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Strategy Development:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and growth plans.
• Provide strategic direction and insights to the CEO and senior management team on financial matters, opportunities, and risks.
• Participate in corporate strategic planning and contribute to long-term business development initiatives.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models, ensuring they reflect realistic growth and operational goals.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to assess performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
Accounting and Financial Reporting:
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management:
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and optimize working capital.
• Develop and implement cash management strategies, including financing arrangements, to support fleet operations.
• Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to enhance revenue streams and reduce costs.
Risk Management and Compliance:
• Identify financial and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect company assets and resources.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific regulations.
• Oversee internal controls and financial policies to ensure effective risk management and safeguard company assets.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and professional development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members to support growth and development.
• Ensure adequate training and resources are provided to the finance team to maintain compliance and industry knowledge.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a key point of contact for financial matters with stakeholders, including investors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and present financial reports and updates to the directors and senior management.
• Foster strong relationships with external partners, financial institutions, and auditors to support financial initiatives.
Technology and Process Improvement:
• Oversee the implementation of financial software and systems to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and reporting to increase efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in financial management technology.
Strategic Business Partnerships:
• Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and fleet management, to identify and pursue opportunities for financial growth and cost savings.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives, including fleet acquisition, disposal, and optimization strategies.
• Engage in contract negotiations and financial assessments related to fleet operations and projects.
