Job title: Human Resource Manager

Purpose of the Position
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, creating and maintaining a positive work environment, fostering employment engagement and compliance with labour laws.
Minimum requirements
•Diploma/Degree: Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or Industrial Relations/ any related HR field.
•5 – 7 years’ experience of HR Experience, preferably in generalist role
•3 years’ supervisory experience
•Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
1.Recruitment and Staffing
•Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
•Conduct onboarding processes to welcome new hires and ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
•Facilitate the development of clear and detailed job descriptions for all positions.
2.Employee Relations
•Foster positive employee relations by promoting open communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement and satisfaction.
•Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner.
•Promote a respectful and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
•Promote work-life balance through flexible work arrangements, remote work options, and wellness programs.
3.Compensation and Benefits
•Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, incentives, bonuses, retirement plans, and paid time off.
•Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure that compensation and benefits packages remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
4.Training and Development
•Identify training and development needs to enhance employee skills, competencies, and performance.
•Develop and deliver training programs on topics such as leadership development, compliance, and diversity and inclusion.
•Support career development initiatives, succession planning.
5.Performance Management
•Develop, Facilitate, and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, feedback, and coaching.
•Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance expectations, goal alignment, and performance improvement strategies.
•Recognize and reward high-performing employees through performance-based bonuses, promotions, and career advancement opportunities.
6.Compliance and Legal
•Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and labour standards, including antidiscrimination laws, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety regulations.
•Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and practices that align with legal requirements and organizational values.
•Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compliance-related issues and investigations.
7.Talent Management
•Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization.
8.HR Administration and Recordkeeping
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee information, personnel files, and employment documentation.
•Administer HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR software platforms to manage employee data, payroll, benefits administration, and reporting.
9. Employee Engagement and Wellness
•Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs to foster a positive work environment, morale, and employee satisfaction.
•Promote employee wellness programs and initiatives to support physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
•Conduct employee surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms to gather input and assess employee sentiment.
10. Strategic Planning and HR Leadership
•Provide strategic guidance and leadership on HR initiatives, programs, and policies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
•Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth, innovation, and sustainability.
•Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR matters, providing insights, recommendations, and solutions to support organizational success.
•Developing strategies to retain top talent.
11.Organizational Development
•Culture Building: Promote a positive organizational culture through team-building activities and company events.
•Strategic Planning: Align HR strategies with the company’s strategic goals and objectives
12.HR Reporting
•Data Collection: Compiling and maintaining data for HR metrics, such as turnover rates, headcount, and employee demographics.
•Report Preparation: Prepare of HR reports for management meetings
13.Knowledge: (job knowledge required)
